Shimmering,
inviting water is a key feature at I'On. Clear lakes connected
by canals and footbridges, naturally flowing tidal creeks,
and expanses of saltwater marsh are all waiting to be explored
by boat or enjoyed from the shore. Paddling around in a kayak
is a frequent pastime for many residents, along with walking
and jogging along the miles of waterfront parks and paths.
The Rookery, a protected bird nesting area, offers walking
paths and observation stands for viewing hundreds of native
birds and other wildlife (yes, there are alligators!) in their
natural habitat.
